Accomplishments 5783 (2022-23)

Over the past year, The Kaplan Center has:

  • Hosted seven webinars with over 800 participants with noted scholars
  • Published three new sets of Talmud commentaries on prayer innovation and the Arts in Jewish life
  • Introduced as new features:
    • Ira Eisenstein portal focusing on his contributions to Kaplanian thought
    • The “I Remember Mordecai” set of reflections from former students and family of Mordecai Kaplan
    • 21st century rabbinic interpreters of Kaplan’s thought (Mefarshei Hazon Kaplan)
  • Expanded Kaplanian Voices and Kaplanian Thought sections of our website
  • Continue to enhance both the content and aesthetics of our website
  • Partnered with Kehillat Mevakshei Derekh in Jerusalem bringing together RRC students, RRA graduates and members of Mevakshei Derekh to explore the topic of Kaplan, Democracy, and Zionism
  • Revised our vision and mission statement
